When game one of the 2011 NBA Finals tips off tomorrow, Mavericks’ guard Jason Kidd will become the oldestĀ guard to ever start in an NBA Finals game.
Ron Harper started back for the 2000 champion Lakers at the age of 36, two years younger than Kidd will be when he starts tomorrow night at the ripe age of 38.
Kidd reached the Finals two years in a row in 2002 and 2003 with the New Jersey Nets, but fell to the Lakers and Spurs, respectively. His quickness may be declining, but his wits are only improving.
