Dirk Nowitzki Throws Out First Pitch in the World Series

After much controversy surrounding the MLB’s initial decision not to let Dirk throw out the first pitch in game three of the World Series, the German brought the heat. No pun intended.

He hit 67 miles per hour on the radar gun according to Joe Buck, so give or take 25. Of course the symbolism here is Michael Young on the receiving end of the pitch, catching another weathered Dallas area star. Each have faced difficult times with their respective teams, with Young still looking to seal the deal.
